We are committed to implementing church-centered mission, where everyone is contributing to the church’s mission and is keenly aware of the season we are in. As well as supporting and impacting the world in many nations, we also support missionaries who are living in those nations. To find out more, please contact us.
The World of Opportunity
With a heart to see justice, and with a heart of integrity, humility and determination, we see before us opportunities like never before to see God’s will be done on earth. We are on a mission, and although as individuals we may feel we can’t do a lot—collectively—each effort we make is like a dripping tap, creating pools of significance in our world.
Our Opportunities
PRAY: We do not go into the world simply to make a dent on famine, but to win a war against injustice. We do not go in our own name, but in the name of Christ. This spiritual opportunity requires the prayerful support of faith-filled believers. Our first step should be to pray.
GIVE: Not everyone can go, but everyone can give. Be it a little or a lot, your financial contributions act as seed and a little bit can go a long way.
GO: There are so many opportunities to be ‘hands-on’ in many of the projects and mission ventures. Contact us to register your interest in treks and mission trips across the globe, and local projects right here at home.
VOLUNTEER: Local and global mission requires a lot of dedication, attention and follow-through on the promises that are made. Projects cannot happen by themselves—teams of dedicated men and women make them happen. Volunteer opportunities range from practical ‘hands-on’ work in our community, through to administration and missionary assistance that can reach across the globe. “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Finally, let compassion for others motivate us, that whatever opportunities we embrace, we do it for the least of these and we do it for God.
Madagascar
Impacting a nation through community development, learning centres, medical and nutritional support. We are partnering with the AOG in Madagascar, which has more than 300 churches. Since mid-October 2007, 33 Grade one and 32 Pre-school children have been sponsored to commence their schooling in the new Community and Learning Centre built in Anosibe. In the year 2007, Spring Street gave $65,000 towards this project. You can be involved by sponsoring a child for only $38 per month. This sponsorship not only provides for your child’s education, but also for health and nutritional support. What’s unique about this education is that the children are being taught a Christian curriculum in English, French and Malagasy. This is in line with the Malagasy government’s desire to make English an official language to improve their chance of meaningful employment. We also partner with Project Madagascar - www.projectmadagascar.org.au.
India “Reaching the Unreached”
In partnership with Empart, we sponsor the Lucknow Church Planter’s Training Centre. As a result of this ongoing support, there are 136 church planters (current mid-2008) sharing the Gospel and planting churches throughout the towns and villages in the state of Uttar Pradesh (Pop. 168 million). We are involved in establishing and supporting children’s homes, providing a Christian upbringing for 10-15 homeless and deprived children being raised in local pastor’s homes. Also, through the establishment and support of Tailoring Centres, we provide the Gospel, hope, jobs and a future to lost women of North India.
