We live in an amazing country, state and community; a place where even the most ‘average’ of us are among the world’s richest. So much so, we can at times be so concerned with cleaning up the rest of the world from poverty and disaster that we forget our own doorstep and the work to be done right here at home. For this reason, we take our local responsibilities as seriously—if not more—as every other responsibility we have to the rest of the world, so that we may never be blinded by our own luxury to see our neighbours need our help. Just a few of our local outreach endeavours include:

Community Christmas Care

Christmas time can be hard for many families, the Community Christmas Care campaign is designed to meet the practical needs of those families and individuals who will experience hardship this Christmas. We do these through two main initiatives.

  • Community Christmas Hampers

  • 35 x $200 hampers containing quality food items and gifts

  • Donate now to help make this a reality

  • Loads of Love

Collecting non-perishable food items to be distributed to local community groups helping families and individuals in hardship

We Care Resource Centre

The We Care Resource Centre is a service provided by Spring Street Christian Church that recycles quality goods that are gifted or sold to those in need of basic homewares and clothing.

Opening Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 9am – 11am (excluding school holidays)

Elevate

Through Elevate the church mobilizes teams of people to complete monthly projects in the community. It seeks to equip, enable and mobilize the church to positively influence their community through works of service and justice.

Project Dove

Family and domestic violence is a huge societal issue which affects many people and has far reaching consequences for all those involved incurring a heavy cost for the community in more ways than one. Project Dove is a church projects that seeks to engage all those affected by family and domestic violence especially women and children.

Schools And Chaplaincy

Young people are the future of our nation and we believe in doing what we can to help them be the best they can be. That is why we are committed to being involved in our local schools and chaplaincy programs.
